first time thinking buying used car. im thinking car dealership as i got no experience with buying used car.
anyone know a good reputable car dealership that wont sell me a lemon. i heard richmond auto mall is good and budget on sw marine dr is good too
im leaning on big dealerships than private ones on craiglist as less likely get ripped off or getting lemon or something

On a slightly less serious note, a reputable dealership will be "less likely" to sell you a lemon, but it's still up to you - the buyer - to do your due diligence and research a car you're interested in. Ask for an ICBC Report and Carfax. Even if they come up clean, look for any irregular gaps in the body panels or extra wear on the shifter/steering wheel/pedals if the car states it's low mileage. Mechanically, it's a crapshoot. Unless the car comes with a book of receipts of work done, assume the worst and that the previous owner mistreated it. CPO's do have to go through a thorough inspection, but that typically doesn't involve opening up an engine to look at specific parts. Depending on what you're looking at buying, a third-party warranty might be useful to pick up. Ask me how I know... :lol

:suspicious: it depends on what kind of car you're buying, but generally speaking you're more likely to get ripped off (cost wise) by a dealer.
