For co-op, both local and online, I highly recommend Broforce (http://store.steampowered.com/app/274190/). It is an 8-bit style platformer with pixelated explosions, and bloody chunks. You play a variety of well-recognized action heroes. My favorite ones are Neo (he knows kung-fu), and MacGuyver (he sets up the bomb). It's 'only' 50% off, but if you have some more presents to buy, then get the 4-pack for $25 bucks, and you have a gift for yourself, too. It will make you yell stuff because being loud is part of the game.
