Yes but Toyota/Nissan/Honda already had a great lineage of reliable well-built vehicles spanning decades, whereas people only stopped considering Hyundais to be garbage about a decade ago.

Lexus , Infiniti and Acura all had a decent reputation from Honda, Nissan and Toyota. Not to mention the brands were backed by brilliant Japanese engineering.

Hyundai hasn't proved itself as a mid-range automotive brand let alone a Luxury brand. Hyundai has only recently started to barely step it up a bit and kind of throw it self in the competition of other mid range brands by using ostentatious designs and subpar engineering.

Not to hate on anyone that drives a Hyundai but i just think Hyundai should stick to selling mid range vehicles and keep competing with Toyota, Honda, Mazda etc etc

It's quite nice for sure. The only major complaint I have about it (the V6 model) is that the transmission has no idea what it wants to do, wasn't a huge fan of it.

A lot can be accomplished with good branding and marketing. When I was in the market for a car I did test drive a four door Genesis. I liked it. My thinking then was, had they separated these cars from Hyundai with a "higher end" brand it would have swayed me to seriously consider buying it. But then I was like, nah it's a Hyundia.
