It costs a arm and a leg.

250 $230.00 2 Years 27.5 or 250.0
500 $460.00 2 Years 54.9 or 500.0
1000 $920.00 2 Years 109.9 or 1000.0
2500 $2,300.00 2 Years 274.7 or 2500.0

That's $92 US for 11 MB's.

It's very expensive as Manic already pointed out.

Unless the places you are going to be really have no cell reception at all, I'd recommend something like GoSim, MAXRoam or something that has global coverage at a reasonable price.

Better yet, if you get on a post-paid plan on T-Mobile in US, you get 3G data and voice anywhere (at least in a lot of countries) in the world without extra charges.

T-Mobile world data is not that good. My users complain of slow speeds in certain countries. Voice is ok though.

Yeah... but I think that has to do a lot with local network.

My wife's T-Mo works great in Canada, and Taiwan... but no so much China.

Yes and no. It also has to do with the roaming agreements that T-Mobile has setup as well.

Satellite isn't going to be terribly fast either.
