what happened to the color grading? image quality was very poor compared to the previous videos.

nice FD...liked it better in yellow but purple is great too.

The interview portion was very well done. The owner seems well spoken, not camera shy and just overall pleasant to listen to.

Colour grading, not so much. Not sure if you were trying to some how emphasize the Midnight Purple colour by changing blacks to, well, not black... or if you realized that the footage was shot without enough light exposure and tried to compensate by scaling back your darks. Either way, it was quite distracting and unfortunately took away from the great interview/voice overs.

Regardless, looking forward to seeing more. Always nice to see local filmmakers on here!

Footage is washed out and grainy, making it kind of hard to watch/see the car properly. But as a fellow rotary owner, nothing but love. Is this the FD that used to belong to someone at Takeda? Or maybe it's the same guy and I just always thought he was white :lol

The owner keeps a very calm and neutral expression in the "touge" portion of the video. Anyone know what road that is?

Love the video and the editing style. I am certain that Singular Entity film team made the design decision to shoot under low light situations and edit the video the way it came out. Frankly, I love the feel and it brings out the beauty of midnight purple and the constrasting curves and edges of the FD. It's quite a unique car video since not many are videographers are up to shooting at night.

Great work :D

Great work :D

I'm all for night shoots, but use the proper lenses instead. Messing around with the colour grading and contrast that much makes it look like they shot with a lens that's incapable of low light exposure, not a design decision.

I just know if I submitted a colour grading like that when I worked in the industry I would have been fired on the spot. :p

I had to video a Crane lift we were doing at night on a job site (just set a camera and leave it running for a few hours).

I picked up a 35mm F1.4L specifically for that shot, and holy fuck is it ever the most wicked low light performer.
