when I hit upgrade storage it shows 17gb but under google drive main page the left menu still says 15gb. is that the case for everyone who's done the security check-up?

Same thing for me. It should be fine.

The left menu just takes a while to update. I think mine took a few days to match the 'upgrade storage' page info.
