I was reading lots of articles about losing fat while preserving muscle and I came across an article/ idea that is unproven. just wondering what your thoughts are?

Apparently cardio makes you lose muscle mass because of catabolism. BUT
if you do a combination of HIIT aerobic, HIIT weight training with consistent macros apparent to your body weight goals, you will lose more stored fat and retain more muscle when cutting..

any thoughts?

ive heard an hour of weight lifting is better than an hour of cardio

but ymmv, depending on the breaks between your sets
