To be honest she shouldn't change her views. The problem isn't with the gun itself but she had a loaded gun just sitting on the ground plus the kid was not strapped in his seat? She was the problem.

I'm all for guns, I have no issues with it but even if the kid was safely secured you don't leave a loaded gun on the floor like that.
