Noob question but easy answer from you guys & girls,

2015 Honda Accord requires B1 service.

Main Item B/B1/09

Factory Recommended Maintenance:

Replace engine oil and filter.
Rotate tires, inspect for wear & adjust pressure.
Service front & rear brakes.
Inspect parking brake adjustments.
Inspect tie rod ends, steering gear box & boots.
Inspect suspension components.
Inspect driveshaft boots.
Inspect brake hoses & lines (including ABS).
Check all fluid levels, condition of fluids & check for leaks.
Inspect exhaust system.
Inspect fuel lines & connections.
Check expiration date for Tire Repair Kit bottle (if equipped)

Price tag at the dealership at almost $230.

Assuming, by getting this work done elsewhere + keeping the receipts, I would not run into any warranty problems down the road..

The price at the dealership is way too much for probably just an oil change, tire rotations and whatever they do to "service" the brakes.

Can someone give me a recommendation where I should bring my car to at less cost?

sounds reasonable for all the work and inspection being done and its done at the dealership so you know your warranty wouldn't be voided but if you really don't give a shit you can go to jiffy lube for like $50

Other than replacing oil and filter and rotating tires, the rest are just visual inspections, including service front and rear brakes. If the brakes pads/rotors need replacing, they will recommend it, which is additional costs.

You can always go to the dealer and ask them for just the oil change. Of course, they will try to up sell their other services.

Like iHeat said, if you don't care on who does the oil servicing, you can do it at a drive through.

Servicing brakes means removing pads to clean excess dust, and re-lubricating the moving parts of the caliper. If that's worked into the oil change, adding onto the inspections then ~230 is close to right.

With such a new car, I'd just tell the dealership to do a regular oil change service and skip the rest. The tire rotation can be done yourself at home (just need to buy a proper jack). Brake cleaning / re-lubing can be DIY as well.

Thank you for this clarification. I do my own maintance and people always told me dealership "service" brake by eyeballing whether it needs to be change. Glad to know that not true, will do for my own car comes next oil change.

What kind of lubricant is usually use? Good old wd40?

More like caliper grease on the slider pins, and copper lubricant where the ends of the pads sit in the caliper. Keeps the squeal down a bit and will save your pin boots down the line.

I'd say just let the dealer handle it. You obviously bought a nice brand new car, which I can only imagine you love. To me $230 is a small price to pay to keep it in tip top shape.

I've come to the realization that the shops who will do the servicing as good as the dealer are usually either just as expensive or more expensive, and the shops which do it cheaper than the dealer like Mr. Lube or Wal-Mart, are usually crooks, or have no idea what they are doing.

Yep. For our Family car we have a CLA250, and it gets driven very little (under 6000km a year). SO we only take it in for service ~1 a year. Its always a ~$1000 bill. And most people will say, oh well you have a mercedes, thats an expensive car, pay to play. But the truth is, its a CLA, it probably cost less than the OP's Accord.
