Specifically looking for "SAKAGURA UMÉ" or something similar. I don't know much about plum wines, but I had it at Hapa the other day and it was delicious!

Any other recommendations?

Cheers.

Choya Umeshu has been my long time favourite, but it is not available for sale here -- I have only seen it in the US, and I usually buy mine from Uwajimaya in Seattle.

What's the typical storage life of plum wines? Bought a bottle of Choya a few years ago, and still haven't drank it yet.

I dunno. Every time I can get my hands on a bottle, it gets drank up pretty soon.

The best bit has to be the plum itself though... OMG so good!

Liberty Wine Merchants has some variety of umeshu. They for sure had Classic Choya.

Royal Honey is good if you can get a hold of it

Choya is delicious but it's so expensive in N. America. When I started drinking it in Japan it was like $9 a bottle.
Legacy Liquor at Olympic Village has an okay selection of plum wines, I saw it in their fridge along with the sakes. BC Liquor stores only carry 3 types and 2 of them suck.
