Anyone know of any good trustworthy mechanics? Private or shop.
Im looking to get some work done on my BDL 85mm top fuel belt drive w. outboard support. outboard support stand studs snapped off in housing & stands, and theres some play in the rear pulley. Basically need it re&re'd. some of the hardware needs to be replaced as well.
Im in surrey closer the better but willing to travel to tricities possibly or out to abby.
Thanks!

I haven't been in years because I haven't had the need, but I always used to hear positives about the folks and work being done at Imperial Motorcycles in Burnaby.

I believe he works at Holeshot as well, but you don't pay dealship prices with him directly

If it means anything, he was also 2nd place in Yamaha's Tech GP

You're probably thinking of Sam at Rising Sun who used to work out of his garage off 1st ave and Nanaimo but now has a shop near Hastings and Clark.

Samson's a real stand up guy, I'm happy and proud to see how far RS has come in recent years

I don't know how to be politically correct when I say this but the mechanic is a tall black guy.

I hear lots of good things about GP Cycles, I also hear the mechanic is even willing to show you how to DIY some of the work too.

I have not, but even some of my mechanics refer to him.

OOOh. Tall black guy. Yeah that shop's now gone (it was called MotoMethod). They had a pretty shit mechanic that really fucked things up for them. I'm not sure where he's at now but he's buddies with the Rising Sun guys.
