Considering it's Polyphony Digital, I'm not going to hold my breath on the November 15th launch date.

I'm mostly interested in the variety of "normal" cars moreso than the super cars and race cars. The historical cars are pretty awesome to drive, too. Of course, I'd prefer if PD didn't do the usual crap of giving us 22 slightly different NB Miatas and 18 slightly different AP1 S2000s like they always do to make it look like they're giving us more cars than they really are.

1000+ unique vehicles would be amazing.

I would say to not expect this to be anything like GT6 but more like Gran Turismo Prologue or Gran Turismo HD. I would highly doubt this game would have any more than 250 cars. What I loved from the trailer though was the amazing photo mode + the ability to finally add custom livery to the vehicles!!! It also looks like there will be some body mods available (R8 has a GT wing towards the end) as well. Graphics were stunning as expected from Polyphony. Excited to see what Polyphony can do with the new PS4 hardware for sure.

Used to have GT series back in the day, and now it all seems kind of lame with other competitors making better quality racing games. As a mostly single player racing gamer, the AI in the GT series has always been so boring. Just follow each other and have perfect drafts, don't try to do anything when you overtake them, and don't making any racing moves when overtaking you either. So boring. Looking forward to the next Forza, always seems a bit better to me.

It was because of the long ass wait of GT5 that caused me to buy an Xbox and try Forza. Once I tried that, and played GT5 when it came out, I couldn't play more than a couple hours of GT5. I guess I should thank the GT5 makers for swaying me from buying any more products of theirs and introducing me to Forza :p

Sounds are much much improved on this game. Drove the demo M4 and in the cabin at least it sounds 90% identical to the real thing.
Physics are pretty impressive too, better than Forza 7 I would say.

no native legacy Logitech wheel support means I wont buy it though
I don't need 30 R34s but a library of only 162 cars is kinda weak when the competition has 700

they say its about 160 cars, but you really dont want to ask the GT guys that, cause last game there was a couple hundred, and 3/4 were standard shit models with low res.

it feels like every other GT

I had a sour taste in my mouth from GT5. PS3 had ps2 issues like fucking jittery shadows low res textures on non-premium cars, inability to construct curved lines. Jesus, GT5 was a fuckin' mess.

I’m quite happy with GT sport so far. The menu interface is a huge improvement over previous iterations. The graphics are awesome even on a regular ps4 (ie no 2k hdr for me). The sounds are also a solid improvement over previous games. It’s not yet at the level I think everyone would like, but you get the immersive sounds of things like back fires, transmission whine and the baddle *clunks* on Cars with dct and dog boxes.

Felt a big strange at first without campaign mode but I’ve grown to like the new approach. For example although I loved modifying my cars by purchasing parts through the manufacturer it was time consuming, I much prefer the mileage credit system that allows you to exchange credits in order to boost power and reduce weight in stages. Other little things like the load times and getting to the next license test from the current one all add up to making a better game. You can tell they’ve spend some long overdue time ironing out all the little things that drive you nuts but are seldom spoken about.

It’s not a huge departure from previous gt versions but, for me at least, it has improved in the areas that it counts the most. I’ve been playing since the first gran turismo and as far as gt games go it feels like what gt4 should have been.

Also for what it’s worth the lack of Cars shouldnt discourage you. They wanted to put out a solid game with well modeled cars with the proper level of detail (unlike previous versions). Yamauchi has confirmed more Cars (around 300 more) will be coming quite soon as free expansion packs. He has already confirmed that all dlc will be free.

You can earn an FIA-recognized driving license in the game, which means you can obtain a digital license in Gran Turismo Sport that you can use to drive race cars in real life.

It took only 5 minutes of GT6 to confirm that GT Sport is shit.

loading times, minor graphics improvements (not HDR mode), lack of cars and PS+ requirements.

This feels like GT6 Prologue.

After spending about 20 hrs on the game, I feel like it's been a great improvement physics and graphically wise over gt6. I did notice they made drifting a lot more difficult for some reason and tire skid marks are absent from the game...(wtf?). It definitely feels like prologue all over again but I have no complaints and look forward to the next GT.

If any of you are photo buffs, the new "scapes" mode has a ton of scenes where you could take some very realistic pics.

I really am hoping they add more cars though. The list is seriously lacking imo. Pretty much missing entire M lines from BMW, not even a C63 from Mercedes, only consumer Nissan included is the GT-R.
