I just found out that the off road vehicle act changed last year and I have some questions as to where it applys.
section 14 states
Subject to the regulations, a person must not use or operate, or authorize or permit another person to use or operate, an off-road vehicle on Crown land or prescribed private land unless one of the following applies:
(a) the off-road vehicle is registered with the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia under this Act;
(b) the off-road vehicle is registered and licensed under the Motor Vehicle Act or the Commercial Transport Act;
So I have a regular vehicle insured with ICBC and registered under the MVA that I'm going to be taking offroad. When does the ORVA apply to me, is it when I hit a BC FSR, is it when I go into a trail onto crown land, or am I mistaken and the ORVA is just for quads and non-insurable vehicles?
