I randomly found out about this one from Facebook, luckily it flashed across my news feed one day. There are surprisingly quite a few of these meets at the quay this year but this was the first one I got to go to.

I can't remember how I found out about it but it was through FB. Oversold and packed at 220 cars, they were expecting 60-100. Really well organized, had CNC'd metal trophies for all the categories. But it was mainly centered on classic Japanese, with only one category for "Neo Classic", which had all kinds of newer rides.

Thanks for the pictures. What was the show generally populated with? Your pictures make it seem there was more "neo" classics compared to the older classics.

The All Japan Classic Facebook site has a list of the cars by class. There were 44 Neo-classic of all makes and 55 Nissan "Classic" (Mainly 510 and 240)

As Kure said the balance was quite good between the "neo" and "classic" classes honestly I had the most fun walking around in the 510/240 section. There were so many variations of the 510 especially which was awesome to see for me personally. Most of all I think I just enjoyed the atmosphere of the meet everyone seems to be having fun. The 510 guys are an awesome bunch.

No matter what direction you take your 510 project in, there is always support. R&D, "free" weekend labour, sourcing weird parts, bouncing ideas around, whatever.

...and then even if the valve cover doesn't say "Nissan" on top, you're still welcomed at meets and on drives and people oggle your build; Ratsun or showroom.

Some of the 500+ km 510 Club drives that we do in one day is bordering on insanity now that the chassis on the '68 examples are nearing 50 years old too.

You are right it is a ford taurus who engine, also has a supercharger hooked up to it, it was swapped into a 240z I believe. Was a really clean swap.
