[Moo Man]

Friend of mine hooked up a track pass to VRCBC (www.wrcbc.ca)'s BC Historic Historic Motor Races a couple weeks ago. Been crazy busy with work though, finally have some time to whore out my pics. :fuckyea:

So I drove out to Mission Raceway bright and early this Saturday for one sole purpose: To photograph a bunch of old vintage cars. Vintage Race Cars. :o

Participants hail from mostly around the Pacific North West, with a couple others from Alberta and California. Race class consists of Vintage Closed Wheel, Vintage Formula Ford Invitational, and Formula Vee.

I absolutely love taking paddock photos of static race cars, and capturing the work put into keeping these machines running. I think it's as important as shooting the action itself on track.

With the help of my friend Ian Thomas (driver of one of the BMW 2002's in Vintage Closed Wheel) I'm able to gain on track media access. It was proven at Formula D that my 70mm-200mm + 2x extender works wonders at small tracks so obviously that's the main setup I'm rocking for the on track action shots this weekend. Sacrificed a bit of sharpness with this setup, but not having to crop as much definitely is a plus.
