I have been using Adblock Plus for years now
always worked great and honestly couldn't live without it...
recently last few days, I have been getting some random ads showing on youtube tho.
Worst..they are all unskippable ad and often like a 1min+ long.
Anyone has same problem?
Is youtube purposely circumventing adblockers or maybe just my adblock extension is outdated/bugged.

Delete adblock plus it's become shit. Download "uBlock Origin". It's made by members of the original adblock founding team.

I use Adblock Plus as well, and it's working fine for me on YouTube. I haven't watched an ad on YouTube in years now.

Just curious, are you guys talking about Chrome?
I've been using "AdBlock", just because it's the at the top when I search for extensions, but I'm more than happy to know if there's a better blocker.

i've been using the same one for quite a while with chrome and its been great. i actually have whitelisted a few of my favorite content creators with AdBlock just to ensure they still get rewarded for their efforts. not a big deal for me to sit through the occasional 30sec ad. if a 3min one pops up i just reload the page and the ad's reset.

FYI, AdBlock and AdBlock Plus are two different plug-ins/extensions.
I find AdBlock Plus work better.

The problem with AdBlock Plus is they've gotten too big and need the $$ so they do allow ads from specific paid advertisers. The guys that started uBlock Origins aren't willing to compromise. Their team is the same original founders + there are a lot of guys that help out to keep it working well and free. I just turn it off on sites I frequent like RS and other forums. Zero ads otherwise.
