Is it just me or does it kind of suck so far? It's just a really slow and kind of shit mishmash of instagram/twitter. For such a big name and big $$ platform I was expecting quite a lot more.

Same feelings here. It seems like those that are already popular on other platforms just shifted their audience to this and that's all you see. Whereas "the little guy" is lost among all the other tribes. It's a disappointment in my opinion.

I like it, if only to get everything car related in one spot on my phone. Sort of reminds me of the app on Android that lets you tailor the news on your phone homescreen (but prettier).

Yeah but at the absolute most superficial of levels and without any serious discovery/exploration/discussion mechanism. Where's the space for technical info? Serious build writeups? Model-specific information? Who are 'Tribes' and why do we care???? How does this replace forums again?

Of course the app isn't completely flushed out but I think once they have a strong total to active user base they'll develop it out further based on feedback. At this point I've only joined my "relevant tribes" to see what will come next (IF anything will come next), if I'll get a notification to share something or if its just to be another Cardomain.com in app format lol.

I DL's the app on my phone thinking I can create a login only to realise that you have to login via facebook? Is this correct, I can't signup any other way? I have a facebook account which I haven't purposely used in years because I hate everything that is facebook.
