How will this affect Episode 8 and ... 9? Already filmed ... or going to CGI her?

Yah, sorry for sounding so cold but all I know of her is her iconic role in Star Wars. I didn't know her personally, like you must. Will you be sending flowers to her family and going to her funeral?

She was a heavy heavy partier, so I'm not surprised that this happened, I am surprised she lasted until 60 though

A shame though, every teenagers wet dream across many decades

RIP

For anyone else wondering but afraid to ask, she already completed filming for her scenes

In all fairness its only going to increase into 2017 and further on as more famous people get older since today we have "relatively more" of them. Such is life and something we have to cope with.

This is true.

When the late great Black & White film stars started passing away by the numbers, you can bet the people who grew up watching them were saying the same things. Only difference is that we ingest media at a much higher intake than before.

Anyway, RIP to Carrie Fisher, Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou (George Michael) and also to:

Richard Adams (http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-38446309)

Growing up as a kid, I only knew 2 "real life" princesses -- one was Diana; the other was Princess Leia.

RIP, Carrie Fisher aka. Princess Leia

Mark Hamill's tribute to Fisher. You might need some tissues after reading this: :tears:

Mark Hamill

It's never easy to lose such a vital, irreplaceable member of the family, but this is downright heartbreaking. Carrie was one-of-a-kind who belonged to us all- whether she liked it or not. She was OUR Princess, damn it, & the actress who played her blurred into one gorgeous, fiercely independent & ferociously funny, take-charge woman who took our collective breath away. Determined & tough, but with a vulnerability that made you root for her & want her to succeed & be happy. She played such a crucial role in my professional & personal life, & both would have been far emptier without her. I am grateful for the laughter, the wisdom, the kindness & even the bratty, self-indulgent crap my beloved space-twin gave me through the years. Thanks Carrie. I love you, mh

Seriously wtf, RIP Debbie Reynolds

Read that today. She was rushed to the hospital after suffering an apparent stroke. I wouldn't be surprised if it was induced from the death of her daughter.

Absolutely tragic for the family.
