Interested to see what everybody's favorite date night spot is. My SO likes live music (basically any genera except heavy metal lol). We usually go out to pubs but I'm looking for some place that less alchohol fuel and somewhere with a decent food Menu. Price is not really an issue as this is not going to be a regular thing.

Very interested to see some recommendation and lesser known places around Vancouver. Well all the foodies at

The Afgan Horsemen was fantastic when I went last year, not really live music but the live belly dancing was really good and the atmosphere was fantastic as well.

Washington Avenue Grill if you're ever out in White Rock. Great ocean view as well.

They charge a $2 "musician fee" now. The musicians decided they needed to eat their dinner halfway through our dinner. Needless to say, that wasn't worth it.

There's a jazz club in Kits. Name escapes me at the moment but I've never been, only came across it in a search for something else. Should come up easily in a Google search.

There are a few restaurants on Commercial Drive. I think some are closed for renovations but you can try Frederico and Libra Room.

Cheesecake Etc. has live music at least on some nights, but then they are a dessert place, not a dinner place.

Is Doolins still around?
It was at the bottom of robson.

Would love to see someone start up a live jazz with nice (non-fine dining) menu. Or is vancouver not so class?
