For those who like space shows like Battlestar Galactica.. The Expanse is really good. What I appreciate about it is tries to be true to the science of space eg orbital mechanics etc.. so no Gundam / Macross like maneuvers.

Question in regards to the first season finale and second season premiere:

So those two main characters get a lethal dose of radiation. Their dialogue made it sound like they both knew they were going to die in hours and nothing could save them.

Then in the second season they spend some time in the ship's medbay and get a medical device implanted in their shoulder. Now they're suddenly fine and won't die? Was this all deus ex machina or did they actually explain before hand that surviving lethal radiation is a thing in this fictional universe?

They have the meds to cure it but needed to administer within a certain time frame and consistently for their rest of their lives.
