Was in the area so I decided to fill up. Ended up being 46 USD for 53 litres at the can am. Regular gas. With the price being 1.299 reg CDN the difference after currency exchange was a lousy 8 dollars of savings.

Point Roberts ain't worth it anymore.

I only get gas there if I'm getting a package

It's still worth it for my family to fill up in the states. My parents go down every 2 weeks for groceries and they bring back their limit for gas. But for a single trip down its not worth it

Just got back from Blaine.....savings for gas especially premium is still good.

Cost me $85cdn after conversion for 75 litres of premium gas down at the shell at Blaine.

75 litres of prem up here would be around $114 ( currently 75 x $1.50 )

Regular isn't really worth it but premium is not bad
Filled up today at Shell (with Fuel Rewards) for $0.966 USD/L -> $1.29 CAD/L
Saving roughly 20 cents per litre compared to the prices up here for premium.

But I only go if I have packages. It's not worth saving $10-15 to drive down (it costs me roughly $7 of gas to drive back and forth)

For PR Shell if you buy >$25 in gas, you get parcel receiving at par. Their rates are already on the cheaper side but the extra 30% or so of discount makes it a pretty solid deal. For the 3 packages I picked up today that saved me another $5 CAD

Not sure if the gas in PR is any better than Vancouver but if so that's an added plus I guess?

If you live near a Costco in Canada with a gas pump that is a good place to fill up. I filled up last night and it was $133.9 per litre for premium gas. The Costco gas bar in Port Coquitlam closes at 9:30 so I usually go after the store closes at 8:30 and drive right up with no waiting in line.....

And a +1 for their berry muffin ... except I find it so expensive (esp if you do the conversion :<)

I wish they had one in Vancouver or Burnaby. Hell even Surrey would be do able. Poco is too far and Abbotsford / Langley is even worse

Wait, how much is gas down on the coast right now?

Regular is only $1.02 here right now, with premium hitting $1.20... I think I might have to reconsider moving back down to Vancouver now..

Fill the xterra and a few jerry cans at least once a month. With the conversion the jerry cans work out to be free. I also live 10 mins from the boarder so it's not a big deal

How about now? I saw $138.9 for regular at Husky on Oak and Marine ??!!
They said it was because of pending March break ... vultures!
