--->Check it out here (https://www.revscene.net/revscene-reviews-2017-subaru-impreza/)<-----

The 2017 Impreza is all new with impressive styling both in and out and top notch safety features it’s comparable to the best of the competition.

If I could add on to this review, my sister in law has the hatchback version of this. The carplay tends to flake out and the gps is sometimes reliable. Subaru has a firmware update but after the update its still a bit buggy. Other than the software hiccups, the hatchback is great though the trunk space is a bit small.

Do you feel it is underpowered? My parents have the new turbo Civic and that thing has some actual TORQUE :awwyeah: for a Civic. Good get up and go, and not wheezy.

I wouldn't say underpowered but it lacks comparing to the turbo powered Civic for sure but comparing to the naturally aspirated model its equivalent.

That dead pedal film is still on. I see you're a man of culture as well.

I like this new one quite a bit better than the previous generation. In particular, I thought the driver's field of view is much improved over the prev gen's. Can't wait to see what the WRX / STI based on this new chassis would be like.

Does this feel quick off the line (relatively) being that it's AWD?

Hmmm ... the design of the car has gotten really bland. Looks like a previous gen Corolla.

I wouldn't say so. At this amount of power, the AWD prob robs a bit of power more than anything.

The time I was driving the Impreza it was dry so there wasn't a chance where additional traction would be needed.

really? I don't see it....

I've driven the new impreza and the previous gen back to back.

The CVT is better tuned than the previous gen, so it feels ever so slightly faster off the line, but the engine is still under-powered.

Also, the manual version is only a 5-speed. (new Crosstrek has 6)

I have the same sentiment.

You don't? How about now? This is a 2015 ... so I was off a couple years but the design still screams Corolla. That's fine ... we don't have to agree.

Ha, i too was going to comment on Corolla resemblance. Looks like the Corolla's older brother who thinks he knows how to pick up girls because he got like 1 or 2 lays in College

This shot of it looks nice though, like a refreshed Legacy

My ratrolla looks nicer. Gets better gas mileage and is a total c lai / a-mo magnet. They can't get enough of it when I roll into TNT and don't bring any of my own bags. 5 cents ? Do I look like I care ? I drive a ratrolla yo

Ah, the current gen for sure I can see it from the front.
It's mainly those angular headlights.

in the past few weeks I've been in a few courtesy cars, one is a 2015/2016 impreza(4hp less than the 2017) and a current gen Jetta.

the 2L impreza motor feels like a rocket ship compared to the stupid little 1.4L in the Jetta. HP and torque are very similar but the impreza's power delivery isn't bad in comparison.
