For once, the Daily Hive, aka Daily Shit, has an interesting article.

McD's is selling hamburgers for 67 cents on June 23rd from 11am to 7pm at its Richmond, no. 3 road location to celebrate its grand re-opening. FeelsGoodMan

There's a limit of three hamburgers per customer. Traffic on No. 3 road is gonna be crazy. This McD's franchise is gonna be lit tomorrow! :lawl:

This location was the first ever McDonald's franchise in Canada back on June 1, 1967.

Get 67-cent hamburgers at McDonald's first Canadian location this Friday | Daily Hive Vancouver (http://dailyhive.com/vancouver/67-cent-hamburgers-mcdonalds-richmond-2017)

Did you know that the first McDonald’s in Canada happens to be in Richmond on No. 3 Road? It opened on June 1, 1967, and has just undergone a full rebuild. The sleek new state-of-the-art McDonald’s will celebrate their grand re-opening on Friday, June 23, and if you head there to check it out, you can get hamburgers for only 67 cents.

Hamburgers will be offered for $0.67 from 11 am to 7 pm on the 23rd, and guests will not only be able to cash in on a killer deal, but also experience the throwback vibes and fun this historic McDonald’s location will have for the occasion.

Look for vintage cars, old-school uniforms, and some familiar McDonaldland characters at the No. 3 Road location’s grand re-opening festivities on Friday.

The first Canadian franchise of the burger chain may be 50 years old, but it’s never looked better, thanks to a complete rebuild that includes modern wood and stone finishes, touch-screen ordering kiosks, and a McCafe Bakery.

But if you’ve got burgers on the brain, you can almost get away with being a Hamburglar on Friday, though guests will be limited to ordering three of the $0.67 hamburgers.

Going to be a sh*t show ... stay the hell away from No. 3 and Granville! I foresee tons of Asians wanting the deal, going back in line 2 or 3 times in order to get a dozen, freeze them and eat them all next week.

^THAT's the new McDonalds? Couldn't they have built it in a style reminiscent of the era? I mean it's "historic" and all right? Why does everything built here need to look like a fucking condo podium...I know, I know, Richmond. Speaking of which in the pic, lots of palefaces surprisingly :D

69cents for hamburger, not even cheeseburger, is worth lining up for?
it's so small, takes only two bites.

Worked at Mcdonalds when it was 49cent Wed / 59 cent Sun Cheeseburgers. No limits!

They bumped it up to 59/69cent shortly after with a 10 per customer / car limit. People would just drive around and go through the drive through again.

They started giving free meals to staff when they stopped showing up. I remember one day I was pissed off and decided to milk my free meal. I still remember my order. Couldn't eat it all of course!

Large Coke
Regular Mcflurry
Big Mac with bacon
Crispy chicken with bacon
Large Fries
20 piece nuggets
and a cheese burger just cus

A McDonalds opened(on Lonsdale) near North Van High early 70's. We all ran over there every lunch that year.

I can't believe people lined up for this. How much are they normally now? Like $0.99 at most?

I love McDonalds. I do. But McDonalds is McDonalds. Spend 2 bucks more and go to a nearby McD and save 2 hours of my time and gas money.

This isn't ultraboosts that people are lining up for. It's fuckin' limited 3 hamburger that's available at ANY other McDonalds.

I guess this event shows that people will line up for just about anything to save a couple of quarters.

Its like when you see 10 cars in the drive through and more and more people lining up. I mean its faster to just park get out and walk and get your phone. I'm usually done by the 4-5th car..

$1.29?
For a Hamburger? WutFace

Still, lining up to save $0.50 is kind of funny. Maybe if they gave out souvenirs or something, but just to save $0.50?

coneZONE
06-26-2017, 05:16 PM
maybe the hamburger IS the souvenir... I mean, they don't spoil, right?

Is this the world's oldest McDonald's burger? And would you eat it? (http://www.cnbc.com/2015/02/19/is-this-the-worlds-oldest-mcdonalds-burger-and-would-you-eat-it.html)

Why cant Canada post put a temporary mailbox at the end of the block for those residents? Or does that require to much thinking?

CBC had a video of this shitty bird at the East Van McDonalds, and the FB comments were crazy. Some dumb bitch was saying that she would attack any human that caused harm to this bird.
