looks like the Chinese really are going to be leading the world to greener initiatives
Volvo’s hot-rod division, Polestar, previously announced it too was becoming electric-only, but this isn’t to say all Volvo vehicles will be purely electric. The Swedish automaker plans to continue offering gas-electric hybrids, like the XC90 T8, beyond 2019.

Pretty neat. Assuming other brands are not far behind, Tesla better get their finances in order. With a huge amount of competition on it's way, Elon may be sweating. Or he's super pumped as his charging stations will probably be multi use and his batteries will be in every vehicle. ha
Volvo is getting quite interesting. Instead of paying a premium for safety systems, they are already selling it with the base model.
I still can't comprehend how they mange to sell 130 - 2017 S90 cars in Canada. :lol

A solid point about batteries, it would be no suprise if the companies just bought from his gigafactories. Either way I think he would sleep happily knowing that other companies are now adopting electric vehicles, even if it means less profits for tesla. Just being rich doesn't seem like his goal

Kinda like Toyota is doing on the new 2017 models. Even the ratrolla now comes with adaptive cruise, pre collision braking and a bunch of other stuff standard.
