Just had my 2J Supra in for a major service at Lyall Street Service. I highly recommend them. The guys running it are import enthusiasts.
I also have had vehicles serviced at Townside and Simoes over the years. You will be fine with either.
Searles also has an excellent reputation in Victoria.

^ x2 I forgot about Jas! He is also a good choice. He is a former mechanic for Honda City / Campus Honda. I used to take my Integra to him years ago before he started his own business.

I just picked up an is300 three weeks ago here in Victoria too. Where are you getting yours?
I can tell you a few things to have the service inspector look for in detail, or you can ask who ever you are buying it from if the following has been done:
- timing belt, water pump, and seals at the front of the engine.
- spark plugs and valve cover gaskets should be done.
- front suspension refresh. The lower control/castor arm bushings (http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-sPWTcHdkTyQ/UNah0tLdetI/AAAAAAAAPso/LONgjVJHR6w/s1600/DSC08631.JPG)only last about 5 years, allowing excessive toe out and massive inner tire wear (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/attachments/gs-4th-gen-2013-present/402362d1484408767-rear-tire-wear-camber-kit-photo236.jpg) and shudder under braking. Ask if these were done.
- also check ball joints, upper and lower, there was an issue (https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3896/14333353970_863f7871f3_c.jpg)some people were having causing their lower ball joints to let go while driving.
- also have them check the radiator and hoses

I was going to recommend Lyall Street Service as well, but it looks like they've been covered.

got it down to $9k, but i just cant stand the rust on potential future fix or more rust. Needs a timing belt and waterpump too.
