I'm still using a D700, hoping for the D750 to drop in price to sub $2k.

The 850 specs seem pretty awesome, but overkill for my needs. I hope they put the hardware into a pro-sumer FX body.

Don't really think Canon gives a damn -- seems to me they haven't cared much since releasing the original 5D back in 2005.

Didn't Canon release a 50 megapixel sensor A while ago? 5DS R or something? Maybe it was just a rumor.
