So I just placed an order for the Google Home Mini.

Anyone has the original google home? any good?

I got my mom hooked on Google Assistant on her phone and thought this would be cool to have. Speaker is on the weaker side but $80 not bad. Depends on how useful I find it, I might get the Original or maybe the Max and put the mini in my room.

genuinely feel like my tv/laptop is already listening in on me at home
the radio in the car doing the same
and my phone doing just that almost everywhere i go

it would appear redundant if you have a mobile device that already supports Assistant
