Very very sad. I'm surprised he lasted this long though. His prognosis was not good. But he kept working away.

I am so very glad I was able to see them on this last tour. It was my very first CD I purchased with my own cash when I was a kid. I won a single ticket for the first show in Victoria after everything was sold out. One of the few concerts i'd ever really wanted to see.

Also very happy I got to see him perform one more time.

RIP to a Legend.

R.I.P. to a true Canadian icon. I've been listening to CBC all morning. Tear shedding for sure. He was a amazing songwriter and rock band front man. The "gold standard" of a rock band, as quoted by a caller and friend of Gord. Although this was expected and we all saw it coming it still has my heart sitting pretty low today :(

RIP, Obviously a lot of Canadians identified with this guy.

Not me though, I was much more sad for Tom Petty and this Hip kick that all the radio stations are on today is driving me nuts.

Oh noes, someone doesn't like the Hip! Boo Hoo!

I don't hate the guy, but his band sucks.
