Alright Revscene. Who makes your favorite Samosas? My current favorite is probably Chef Kebab on Fraser Hwy in Surrey (next to the Kia dealership)

Also, where can I get good samosas in the Fraser/Main area of Vancouver that have thin and non-greasy pastry?

Como Lake Bakery in Coquitlam is my favourite. Their samosas are delicious.

Tandoori Kona in Richmond, No. 5 and Cambie Plaza.

East Van, All India Sweets on Main and 50th. Hell, any Indian place on Main is probably 1/2 decent.

I've had All India Sweets and it was OK, but nothing to bring me back again. I'm looking for a samosa that gets you :ahwow: after the first bite!

Do you mean Mundy Park Bakery on Como Lake? I love Samosas and Coquitlam is not far away... this is very relevant to my interests.

Ginger Indian quizine in Richmond. The only reason people like Kona is because they have never tried ginger Indian. Seriously, kona tastes like it is all canned food

Looked at both the menus of Kona and Ginger and they're vegetable samosas. Are there any with meat in them?

Sanja Punjab Sweethouse
Mughal Garden

Both in Surrey. The outside of the Samosas seem to be deep fried though. Both places pretty tasty, about 4/5 on Google reviews.

Ahhh looks like I was incorrect, the bakery my coworker's brother got the samosas from was not the same one he normally buys our treats at. I asked another coworker though since apparently he knows, just waiting for his response :)

Edit: He says they're from The Bombay Sweets and Restaurants in Poco on Shaugnessy (across from the Safeway it looks like) http://bombaysweets.ca/

How much are they there?

Favourite used to be Patna Sweets in Abbotsford, there's a Dhaliwal sweets beside there too, never tried it.

Patna used to be 2 for $1.00.

Now 2 for $1.20

Was in the hood and gave Ginger a try, they're good. Don't know if I'd rate them WAY better than Kona though, I still like Kona. $3 for 2 veggie. The shell at Ginger is different, I think they add a touch of salt to it. What was even better was the $6 butter chicken wrap!

Can attest to this. They are pretty busy because they make good stuff. They were fine before but changed their recipe recently so it's even better.

Get their fresh bhajia as well. Has to be fresh. It's amazing.

Any restaurant should have that you just order it on the side. The chick peas are called sholay or Chole the other stuff is called chaat.
