I ordered a bunch of suspension parts for my '15 Mustang GT and I don't I want it ruined by salt lol.

So I am thinking of getting a DD just for winter use only. I want to import something from Japan and I would be putting blizzaks on it.

It is between these three and these are the exact cars:

2002 Nissan Silvia Spec R

Why not? I drove RWD for years with no issues. I drove my 430RWHP Mustang GT in a snow storm and in snow regularly on pirelli sottozeros with no issue.

I am only interested in 1 of those 3 cars.

So you’d rather ruin an older car than a newer car with superior rust protection that you can thustly replace easily if need be? I side with badhobz

Edit; since you just said you have no problem winter driving your 430whp mustang, why not do it again? If you had literally zero problems

I just want another car to drive in the winter and keep my Mustang looking brand new. I am also installing a lot of aftermarket modifications on it too that make it less ideal for the winter.

I also want another car because I can. Whatever car it ends up being would be garaged and washed very frequently.

^Great for this coming up winter. Although, I do admire the aesthetic on the Silvia

Is this thread a bad troll? You literally would be halfway through the winter before your car even got here, let alone wtf is the point of a RWD turbo low car like a Silvia...

So it seems you’re okay with RHD. If you just want the experience of importing something from Japan, get something that was never offered in LHD to make it a bit more worth it. No Subaru’s or whatever

When I did used to do the winter beater thing, I would just buy a $5k Landrover. Use it during the winter, sell it in the spring for pretty much what I bought it for.

It's a fucking mustang not a show car. Put some god damn snow tires on it and it'll be fine. GVR winters aren't exactly harsh. Buddy drove a 15 mustang through a northern Alberta winter without killing himself, you'll be fine.

Of those three, only the Civic would really be a decent daily.

haha I DD a Fiat Abarth and honestly it is one of the best DD you can get. Good on gas, fits anywhere and has a fun aspect to it.

Plus you can pick it up for around 10k~ relatively new with low mileage. Compared to a new price tag of about 35k.

Agreed. It's more fun than other cars I've driven with more horsepower.

Since you asked for our 2 cents, to pick one of the 3 vehicles you have opted, I would choose the Subie.

AWD + Good Snow tires is perfect for winter use. You already have a RWD mustang, no need for a RWD Silvia.

EK9 possibility, but AWD + Snow tires > FWD + Snow tires IMO.

My friend imported a bugeye STI to use as a winter daily. It's not a bad choice. The CTR isn't bad either but those are desirable cars. Possibly more than your Mustang so I don't know...
