Only franchise I care about is Avatar and maybe National Geographic. I don't even know how people can keep watching these superhero flicks over and over again LOL.

This pretty much means Disney's future streaming services will have the ammo to compete with Netflix. And they just might win.

So Disney now owns Marvel, Star Wars, ABC, and now FOX (along with a ton of other things like Muppets etc)

They are basically taking over the entire entertainment industry

I mean they generally put out quality stuff but that is kind of scary...

Sounds like Fox News will also be spun into a separate company now. I'm hoping this hurts the network, obviously their views and broadcasting does not align with Disney's image, maybe this change will starve the network financially.

That depends on your opinion of the new Star Wars movies.

Disney's streaming service didn't have a chance when they first came up with that idea. Now they might.

I mean I really liked Last Jedi but I don't want one company offering ALL my entertainment

Nah they don't own nothing. After they bought Fox some Chinese company is going to buy Disney out. Soon we could start seeing Chinese Disney princess or movie heavily on Chinese theme (maybe a Chinese batman) :fullofwin:

Most dumb action movies are being made for Chinese audiences already anyway, no big difference really
