Some would argue the sentence is a bit harsh but maybe I'm tired of seeing instances of people outright excessively speeding on the news getting off with minor fines. It's a good wake up call considering the potential for injury or death. My family doctor was killed by a speeding Audi just a few years back in Vancouver.

Went 125 mph in a 35 mph zone, then hit a tree and injuring both himself and his passenger.
Sentencing:
9 months jail time
2 years probation from driving without written consent from court
100 hours community service
I find it ironic that his license plate says Amerika while driving an American car but the guy is kinda fobby.
Speed limits are broken all the time, but when it's that excessive, there's no excuse other than endangering other people. I hope others will take this as a wake up call as well.

Can you imagine how many mainlanders would be in prison for injuring people in their exotics, if we saw harsh sentences from strict laws against dangerous driving in BC? :fuckthatshit:
Forbidden to have any contact with his passenger, the 17-year-old girl,
:lol wtf

For those wondering that’s 201km/h in what we consider a 50km/h zone
Guy should have his license revoked permanently
That poor Corvette was Gong In 60 Seconds.

Yeah...."excessive speed" was a factor in that accident too. The driver was going 143 kph on Oak in a 50 kph zone but unfortunately in this case, it resulted in someone dying.

I think the sentence is fine, maybe it'll set an example for the other kids who drive these fast cars with just a slap on the wrist.

Gong’s passenger suffered “two broken femurs, a lower leg fracture, a broken orbital bone and a broken nose.”
I’d say this factored into the sentence. If he was alone probably wouldn’t be as harsh. His recklessness is going to change the passenger’s life forever.
And that's the end of that story
