"I don't understand how it got to this point... these are flaws we would see on a Kia in the 90s ... I can't imagine how they released this"
Munro is the same crew that did a teardown on a BMW i3 so complete that BMW thought their secrets had been leaked.

Shocking that two old fossil gearheads would shit on a Tesla. The first two things they brought up were that the hood was hard to open, and that Tesla were "electronics snobs". Stopped watching after that

Consider that they had this to say about the i3:
"The utilization of materials is brilliant; the electronics are brilliant; the battery is brilliant"
"the most significant vehicle since the Model T"

So they must have something against Tesla specifically, because the whole video is just nitpicking (I watched a bit more, the other issue they had was that when you open the door with the lever, it displays a message on the screen)
In any case thanks for sharing, but these guys opinions are irrelevant IMO

Seems to me you can't stand to hear anything negative towards the tesla ?

Nothing could be further from the truth. I have absolutely no opinion on Tesla or any other car manufacturer or any company at all for that matter.
I come from a background of product reviews, so it stands out to me instantly when there's a shitty bias that makes opinions useless. Perhaps I'm a bit extra salty because usually this type of prejudice doesn't have an effect on whether people listen to them.

Uhh. These aren't just some youtube product reviewers. I don't know much about your body of work but this is Munroe & Associates. They can spend a few days with a car and a team of engineers and predict, to the penny every single aspect of the manufacturing from design to tooling and all the way through the production cycle. Their entire product is based around taking apart cars, reverse engineering and selling the reports to competitors or whoever is looking for the data. They are a major player in the automotive industry. Outside of drivetrain there aren't going to be many combinations of engineering solutions in Tesla's diffusion that have not been done before by other brands and they have literally seen it all.

I don't care who they are, or what they have said about the i3 or any other car in the past. I don't care about Tesla. I was only talking about this specific video. It is garbage

At the end of the video, they said they will do a complete teardown of the Model 3 in the future.
This was more of an initial impression video.
They may mention some good things once they're deeper into the chassis

Clickbait, it’s a $30,000 EV not a rolls Royce.

I was expecting an actual articulated rationale because typically in text based collaborative environments like forums people actually spend time to do so, but matching effort for effort:
Iit stands out to me instantly when there's a shitty bias that makes opinions useless.
Yeah, it's you. Don't worry though, your permanently enduring contrarian opinion makes everything think you're realllly smart. /s

I'm not surprised by what the videos say because Tesla isn't the one signing Monroe's cheques.
Tesla is also relatively new to high volume production, and these types of quality issues aren't new for a company this young.

That way of having to open the hood without the main screen functioning *is* completely ridiculous.
Also are those factory wheels on there?? Hideous! They couldn’t even hire 1 person away frm Audi to make nice wheels for them??
