You say you followed him while he walked back to his "friends" and his "friend" ended up saying the same speed that single standing cop in the middle of the road was going. Kind of tough for them to scheme up a plan using the same speed so far away from each other. Just food for thought.

Hahaha i’ve never heard of a cop being attacked in canada so i’m sure it’s safe to assume i wasn’t going to pull a gun on him. Point is cops are assholes who power trip over petty shit

On major roads, the threshold or leeway may be a bit more (eg. 70 kph in a 50 kph zone) but if this was a school zone, then police can be pretty stringent about the 30 kph during school hours. That is one thing you don't do on a road exam, it was drilled into you. If that was the case and you thought it was petty ... it isn't.

people hate you because you seem to lack the mental capacity to understand/consider the other side of the situation...

Put yourself in the shoes of the cops...they deal with thousands of people in a year.
Sure you are not a criminal with weapons or malice, but he wouldn't know that.
Criminals, just like scammer will try to appear legitimate until they are not.

Thanks mr_chin. It’s amazing what people will say on the internet to people especially when no one knows me personally. This was my first speeding ticket allegedly going 47 kms and people think i’m a awful driver and make roads dangerous to drive on. I honestly don’t take any of this to heart since it’s just the internet where people think they’re actually someone of importance. Give someone a voice and all of a sudden they gain crazy confidence to say whatever they please to belittle someone.

I think a lot of people already spelled it out for you, but I will try again:

The bigger problem here is NOT the fact you sped. It's the fact that you think cops freaked out just because you "peacefully walked up to them."

How do they know you are not a criminal? How do they know you will not try to harm them? It's not like they can just read your mind.

You are lucky they didn't taze you or handcuff you. Next time, listen to what the cops say and follow exactly. Don't be so naïve and/or self-centered.

This is what I'm seeing in this thread.

OP tells his story. Everyone jumps on him like hound dogs on raw meat. OP defends himself a little. Everyone tries to bring the situation back to square one by asking the same question again and repeat the same comment again. Rinse repeat rinse repeat.

OP makes a post whining about a ticket he rightfully got. On top of that he admits to doing something stupid, and complains about cops being "petty" for giving him a ticket and telling him to get to his car

OP then tries to "defend" himself by continuing to whine

OP then deletes his embarrassing original post, and replies several times about how he doesn't care what people think. He still thinks people called him a dangerous driver, when people are really calling him out for the whining and shit talking cops and acting like an immature little shit.

I don't care about e-cred but if someone makes a post looking for feedback, I'll give it if I find the topic interesting and/or amusing

OP was looking for feedback (hence making a brand new post about it) and got it. It just wasn't what he expected.

I can't imagine a situation where anyone would support him for speeding and complaining about "petty" cops. Unless those people are just as immature as he is.
