When the doors open to the 2018 Vancouver International Auto Show on March 28th, the two cars that may in fact, draw the most attention, are the two Koenigsegg Agera RS supercars in the Weissach Group booth, located at the entrance of the event.
On display for the first time in Western Canada, the Agera RS is the fastest production car on the planet and owner of five current world speed records. The pair of Agera RS’s will be on display throughout the Show, March 28 – April 1, at the Vancouver Convention Centre West.
Auto Show General Manager Jason Heard called the two- vehicle showcase an indication of the love affair British Columbians have with supercars.
“We’re thrilled to welcome the pair of Agera RS models as a 2018 Show feature,”says Heard. “British Columbians have a deep respect for all the vehicles that make up the supercar class, and the Agera RS is a car that is in high demand in this region.”
Faster Than a Small Airplane, the Agera To Take Flight in Canada in Vancouver
The Agera RS, sold exclusively in Canada by the Weissach Group in Vancouver, has recorded speeds topping 457.94 km/h, smashing five world records last Fall, including the highest top speed achieved by a production vehicle on a public road.
The five automotive firsts achieved by the mechanical marvel include:
• The highest top speed achieved by a production vehicle (two-way average) - 447.19 km/h (277.87 miles an hour);
• Zero to 400 to Zero km/h - 33.29seconds;
• Flying Kilometre on a public road (two-day average) 445.63 km/h (276.9 mph);
• Flying Mile on a public road (two-way average) - 444.76 km/h (276.36 mph);
• Highest speed achieved on a public road (single direction) - 457.94 km/h (284.55 mph)
As for Mercedes, Benz is back at the show after a two year hiatus.
Hopefully, it will be their best cars instead of "nothing". :lawl:
