Does anyone have any recommendations, suggestions, or comments about polished concrete floors?

Thinking about getting it done on the concrete floor of my garage.
There is also a concrete wall in my garage, would you recommend getting that polished to or is there any other suggestions?
I thought about painting the wall or putting up some drywall on the concrete as another option too.

Thanks.

No input on the floors but I suggest hanging slat panels on the wall. They'll offer the most flexibility.

if there's any stains on the concrete now, having them polished won't remove them (oil etc)

I'd just clean them and have them coated with an epoxy finish of some sort

My parents had a polished concrete car port when I was growing up and it was always slick as fuck if any dust, dirt, or liquid got on it.

Made for okay ball hockey games in our socks, though.

Thanks for the input guys.

We haven't moved in yet so there "isn't" any stains yet.
Not a great idea that the floor will be very slippery, especially with living in Raincouver.

I'll look into the epoxy finish.

Interesting idea about the slat panels. Thanks Flip.

I looked into polish concrete for my garage too...but probably with a satin finish instead of high gloss so it wouldn't be as slippery
I seen it in many commercial place and prefer it over epoxy (which looks plasticy to me)

Haven't decided yet...tbh I found both options are quite costly...
I have a 2 cars garage (18ft x20ft), polish concrete is close to $3K, and epoxy $3500
I figure for that price, I could put a nice porcelain tile floor down...

I am actually thinking about putting those luxury vinyl floor plank/tile in my garage...they are much easier to DIY and cost $2/sqft + a day work ($700) instead of $3000+

Ouch. My garage is 27ft x 20ft I think.
Let me rethink this.

Thanks.
