| Stag game ideas
I have to plan a stag which is happening in a little less than a month away. Begining of April. We'll (a total of 8 guys) be heading down to Portland 2nights 3days. We will be hitting up the normal club and strip clubs
I was wondering what kind of games did you guys play on the groom. What games worked and what didn't? Did you guy have the groom do a "to-do list"? Did you hand out beads or gifts to those random ppl that participated? Did you end up taking pictures of the night? Or is that a no no like hangover?
One game a buddy suggested a game called golf pub. Each of us treat the party to a beer and the one that takes the fewest sips win. So we'll be hitting up 8 different water holes. It sounds pretty scary. 8 pubs 8 beers. I hope it'll be done in a span of 5+ hrs.. lol
I would like to groom to have a good time. This is the first time I'm kinda leading the stag. Please let me know how did your stag parties you have been to turned out. Any ideas will help. Thanks

Definitely trying to involve other parties is a good one, coming up with things he has to do at each place like grabbing a girl's phone number or any embarrassing things you can interact with locals or other people partying are always good for a laugh if everyone is kind of drunk and on the same page... that said Portland is full of frickin bearded hipster weirdos (I was just there at a concert 2 weeks ago and was the only white guy n an entire audience that didn't have a beard + plaid shirt on) and a lot of females tend to be "alt" type girls, so be prepared for people not to play along quite as well as they would up here.
I'd say photos in general are a no-no unless everyone just agrees to check them out together for laughs the next day and then as a group delete everything... depends on how sensitive the dude's woman is I guess. Your judgement call on that one. BTW strip bars in the USA are lame compared to here, bottoms stay on.
I've been to ones here where a hotel room was rented and then the strippers were brought into the hotel room and did their thing and then everyone went out on the prowl afterwards club/pub hopping... that I think went better than going to the actual strip club, but that was just my experience and I don't know if there are any in-room services in Portland or not.
My suggestions for a stag in USA would be Scottsdale or San Diego. I love Portland, but not my first or even third choice as a stag location.

Embarrassing the groom is a must. Things like making them wear a pink cowboy hat Etc

Only photo at mine in Portland was a group shot under on of the big bridges where we actually were just chilling out with a case of beer for an hour. Probably my favourite actual event. Haha. So many god damn strippers

As mentioned in the portland thread in the travel forum, remember to bring your passports with you when you’re going out.
About 50% of the places that ID will ask for a Passport as it’s a state law, and if people in your group look like the type that will constantly get ID’ed you’re probably gonna need your passports almost everywhere (which is a headache and is kinda sketchy carrying them around everywhere, especially when drinking in excess lol)

I’ve played pub golf for a stag but each drink was assigned a par score. A Caesar might be a par 4, for example, meaning you have to finish it in 4 gulps or less. We played 9 holes in about 2 hours
The groom also wore a brand new white shirt and had to collect kisses on it. At least 50 girls applied fresh lipstick to kiss his shirt and leave their mark in the various bars we visited. That was probably the most successful and fun thing we had going. By the end of the night his shirt was almost full and girls were asking if they could kiss it so that worked out great.
He also had a mission to collect “unmentionables” (bras or undies they were wearing were asked to be donated) but that was a tough one to accomplish. However, the lady driving the horse drawn carriage down government street in Victoria said her boobs were too big to unleash or she’d give him his bra.. so naturally he asked if he could touch them. She obliged and we went down what very well may be the busiest street in Victoria during rush hour and he’s holding a set of natural DD’s while standing in the back of the carriage. So he didn’t have the best luck with the challenge of but that was a highlight lol

Sorry for highjacking the thread but I thought this would be relevant because I am planning a stag at the end of the month too in San Diego.
You guys mentioned it's a good spot. So far we have plans to do surfing, Omnia, beer crawl at the beach. Anything else I am missing? Any good spots for lunch/dinner?
TIA

Take turns kicking the shit out of the guy and if he survives he can get married. An experience to remember.

Since you're going to Portland, you should put him in a MAGA hat and hope he has insurance

Make a to do list! This is always a great one... attach reward points per task, then the groom can collect points to rewards... (drinks, lap dances, etc.)

I'm having my bachelor party in April as well.
Going to Montreal though. We were considering Portland and San Diego, but decided to brave the cold weather for amazing food and women.

Any idea on what games they're making you do? We wanted to go down south or east (Vegas, san Diego, new orleans or to Montreal.). but a few friends were on a tight budget, so Portland it is..

I've a stag party to go to later this year. I've been to several in the past but the price per person seems to jump each time.
How much do you plan each person to pay??
How about you others? How much did you guys pay for stags in the past??

^ agreed.
Probably 10 years ago I organized a stag in Harrison where we rented a house, golfed Sandpiper and went sturgeon fishing over a long weekend. Our budget was $500 ea and I think at the end of the trip we might have gone $50 over each including all the food and booze.
Went to a stag last summer in Whistler and I’m sure I spent $1000 easily. Probably closer to $1200. Aside from bar hopping all we really did was golf. The house was incredible though, compared to Harrison.

It would end up being somewhere between 30-40k for a stag... what the hell is wrong with people?!
I'm expecting the amount of people who are wanting to go will end up cancelling now that we all found out the budget that is expected.
Never do a stag that high....... complete waste of money for everyone.

Back to games.
We've always done the Smirnoff Icing game at stag parties. Take bottles of Smirnoff Ice and hide them and whoever finds it has to get down on one knee and chug the bottle on the spot. Inside a Starbucks, corner store, street, pretty much anywhere.
Directly taken from wiki: Quote:
Icing is a drinking game in which certain individuals or groups of individuals are required to drink a bottle of Smirnoff Ice (any flavor). The game has been featured on CNN Money/Fortune [1] and TNA Impact!, Tosh.0, and ridiculed by Cracked.com.[2] Participants are encouraged to come up with elaborate ways to present the Smirnoff Ice to their targets by hiding bottles or cans in inconspicuous locations, or in situations where drinking it would be dangerous or embarrassing (e.g. before they attend a meeting).

I'm not really one for games...but I'm sure they will make me do something
There are 8 guys from Vancouver and 4 from Toronto attending, so it should be a good time either way.

Don't fall into the "games" and "to do list" stuff because that's the thing to do. Make sure you know what the guy enjoys. I've been to maybe 10 stags and they're all catered to what the groom wants.
