Edit - Family plan is successfully filled! Thanks everyone!

Hi RS,

My friend recommended this forum and said this is a great community to be apart of!

Anyway, i'm looking to start a YouTube Premium family plan. I use YouTube on a regular basis on my Phone and TV. The ads are just KILLING ME! So I want to get a group together to get rid of these annoying ads.

What do you get?
$3/month
- YouTube Ad Free
- YouTube Music Premium (very similar to Spotify)
- YouTube Original content, movies/shorts/etc.

You can have six people in a family plan. I am currently looking for three more people. I've exhausted my friends list and was hoping some of you would be interested.

Payment is either by eTransfer or we can meet up if you prefer cash. I will collect payment for the year upfront $3/month x 12 months = $36

Please PM if you're interested!

Thanks!

edit: Only two spots remaining

What does $0.25 per month get us?

What does $0.25 per month get us?

Hi Zedbra,

It's actually $3 per month. There is not a $0.25 option.
It's $18 per month for a family plan, divided by six people = $3.

Let me know if you're interested =)

Thanks!

So what's the master plan?

It'll be the same as I do for my spotify family plan.

People pay for the year in advance. So $3 x 12 months = $36 upfront.

Payment can be eTransfer or we can meet up if you prefer to pay cash.

Only TWO spots left everyone!!! Please PM me if you're interested.

Once you try the youtube without ads, there's no going back.

Some videos have ads every 3min and ruin the whole experience.

I use add block on my computer so I don't see any ads. Also there is an add on you can download video from Youtube. The free version you can only download 720p video but that's good enough for me when I travel lol.

This is a fair point.

To this I say, would it be worth someones time to scam three people out of $36?

In any case, I respect that some people may not be interested, but those who are, I want them to feel secure. I will provide a full contract stating we will be in a mutual relationship and what the relationship outlines.

ie. YouTube premium account between myself and _____, the amount of $36 was paid to myself on "date", which would be for a full year of YouTube premium service, etc.

Honestly, I just really want no more Ad's on YouTube mobile, but i'm too cheap to pay $12 a month for a personal plan. For $3 a month, I can definitely handle that! Hopefully, there are two more members out there who feel the same =)

The new ones called Ublock. Before I thought only a select few among us peasants had the ability to unlock Youtube ads.

I use adblock on my computers and I setup a Pi-Hole for my devices like my TV, phone and tablet. Doesn't help me when I'm outside of my home network though.

Hey Teriyaki,

On the contrary, I find this thread really engaging. I don't think i've been apart of a community like this before. My friend said the members here are pretty down to earth and are quite witty.

I will admit, I didn't get some of the posts initially, I think I took those posts too literally, but looking back at this thread now, It seems a lot of the members are being sarcastic/entertaining. haha, which is really refreshing.

Pay for YouTube while today it falls on its own sword and demonetizes creators at the behest of NBC owned Vox. Even educational history channels are being demonetized as hate speech for including Nazi propaganda footage.

For those desperate enough to do this, maybe see if you qualify for student pricing first. It's $6.99/month vs $11.99
https://www.youtube.com/premium/student

There's a post on RFD about this and from what I recall, it works with emails for alumnis.

If you're frugal enough to jump through a few hoops, I believe they shared tips and tricks to subscribe the service from India or Russia for a lower price. :lol

If you're going with fraud to avoid ads without paying as much, just use an adblocker.

NBC does not own VOX.

Yes you're right. NBC Universal only has a $200 million investment in Vox, not complete ownership.

It's actually more than that, since Comcast already owned 14% of Vox Media when that investment took place

Not complete ownership, but you could argue that it's "close enough" when they do stuff like this (https://fair.org/home/with-no-disclosure-comcast-owned-vox-runs-commercial-for-comcasts-500m-snapchat-investment/)
