As I will be relocating to Alberta for an upcoming work term, I am selling my 2009 Mazda RX-8 GT in Velocity Red Mica. Located in Victoria.
This is a Series 2 facelifted model with some mechanical improvements such as extra oil injectors, higher oil pressure, and better engine cooling. The 6-speed manual transmission and a high 9000 RPM redline makes it an engaging, yet forgiving car to drive spiritedly. Make for a good sports car that also has some practicality with good legroom in the rear seats. The GT trim includes a lot of comfort options, like heated leather seats, a sunroof, factory navigation, and the Bose sound system.
The RX-8 is in overall good condition. Interior is very clean while the exterior shows some light scratches and chips, but nothing major. There are no accidents with this car. I have it garaged when parked at home as well.
Mechanically, I maintain the car well with 5000km oil changes and regular premixing. The last oil change is fairly recent, with brake fluid replaced this April. It starts quickly hot or cold. Tires are also very new Firestone Firehawk Indy 500s. All the receipts I have for the two years I owned the car are available.
There are no mechanical mods on the car. It has some light interior/electrical mods like the Autoexe steering wheel, floor lights, backup sensors, and the rear fog light.
I will also include 2 bonuses:
- 10 1L bottles of Idemitsu Premix
- Full set of winter rims + tires. Tires are Michelin Crossclimate purchased last November and have about 5000km on them.
It currently has ~108,500km on it. These are all local BC mileage; it is never taken outside of BC.
Asking for CAN$9500, and I am open to reasonable negotiations. Need it to be sold before August 5th. After that, it's either going to storage or going to be sold to a dealer, depending on the situation.
