I grew up with fond memories of his food stand at the PNE. It almost feels like a staple of my childhood.

Probably one of the biggest, if not the biggest staple of the PNE

As an avid horse racing fan he was also active at the track as an owner, and his son actually trained Torque Converter, who holds records at Hastings for a few different lengths of races.

RIP, perogie lineups gonna be big this year lol

I haven't had the perogies in years... but from what I remember, they tasted sort of doughy and overfried for my liking. But so many people love them, what do I know.

IMO, Henry's Chicken is the biggest staple of PNE. I eat it every year and my future kids will too. Sucks that it's so expensive now though.

As a Ukranian and a Saskatchewan native I love me some perogies. My mom is actually coming to visit in a couple weeks, I'm going to lock her in the kitchen and not let her out until she makes me a batch or two. It's something we used to do as a family growing up, that and cabbage rolls but I don't like cabbage.

I haven't been to the PNE in years but when I do go I always eat here, I'm going this Sunday and I'll be eating me some of that potatoe and sour cream goodness.

and for me I've never had the pierogies lol

Henry's is my go to but in all honestly it isn't because i find their chicken to be that good it's just the best of the worst. Food options at PNE and I'm talking about the real food options not the fair food are avg at best.

I worked for him over 10 years ago during the PNE fair. Guy was a hardass but with good intentions.

I remember he slipped me an extra $20 bill for working my ass off for him.

RIP
