Sometimes I want to get rid of the change in my pocket. I would say 1 out of 5 machines I've tried in the DT/Gastown area are jammed nowadays.

Apparently wood sticks work better because the sound of 'dropping coins' registers better with the machine.

why would you stick a nickel though, those usually only give 1 minute at most or nothing at all.

Won't you want to use loonie or toonies instead?

The smaller coins, like a dime fit better... but not the large ones. For sure no point in using a nickle.

Lmao.

With how expensive it is to park in Vancouver you'll have to literally stand there finger blasting the meter till you've got enough nickels/dimes registered for an hour's worth of parking.

Putting in an address here will show the rates of parking meters... some are $6 an hour.

More like 4/5 machine is jammed up. This is starting to become a huge problem.

some meters in kits are pay by plate already. One central machine that you key in the plate and pay.
