Looks like some kind of Scientology propaganda piece.
It argues that the life on earth for the most part was simple microbes but all of a sudden there was an explosion in arms, shells, and many other variation of life beings... and that all of this doesnt show the building blocks of eventual evolution.
It basically says because we cant conclusively figure this out it, some intelligent being waved its magic wand and created these complexities. It leaves the rest to the imagination like is there a big daddy in the sky, aliens or other intelligent beings that kick started complex life.

Oxygen has been in the atmosphere for over two and a half billion years. Yet only during this period, so brief that it falls within the scale of resolution (could be a day, could be 20 million years), nearly all phylum known to man were somehow created from "simple" single celled organisms.
With no evidence of the transformation whatsoever.

Seems revealing that there can be monotonous threads every other month that go on for pages over something as trivial as an off color comment, yet an attempt to open a discussion on something as contentious as the origin of life draws barely a single meaningful comment.

Lets not look so far back.
What are your thoughts of modern day evolution? I was born with 3 wisdom teeth, I have no use for the appendix in my body, I have a bump from a tail that is far removed.

The appendix also serves a purpose by storing bacteria. It is not a vestigial organ as was once thought.
Regardless, Darwin's theory of tree of life states that we all share a common ancestor. This is why origin of life is important. Otherwise the theory doesn't hold water.
Even he had doubts. And he had no idea the complexity of a living cell. Quote:

The thing that gets me is how full of gaping holes the theory is. But how widespread and accepted it is.
Miller was able to create just several amino acids in primitive earth conditions by applying electricity. But then these acids were preserved. They never would have survived left in those conditions.
And that's what it's based on. Uncontested.
The simplest yeast cell has millions of proteins, each specifically shaped and each made up by a specific sequence of twenty amino acids.
The odds of a yeast cell forming by chance would be 1 in 10 to the 70 billionth power. That's 1 in 10 with 70 billion zeros at the end of it.
To understand how huge that number is, the amount of atoms in the known universe is something like 10 to the ninetieth power.
Granted, the first organisms wouldn't have been as complex as a yeast cell, the idea that these complex creatures in the Cambrian, about two dozen different branches, emerged out of nowhere, in such a short time period, from single celled organisms, is even more inconceivable than that.
These were creatures with a brain, digestive system, limbs, a skeletal system, vision, a nervous system.
These are unbelievably complex systems.
I'm not a creationist. But the explanations so far require about as much faith as a divine creator.
