The problem is that he did a lot more than just burn a rainbow flag. The flag wasn't his, it was stolen. He set it on fire outside of a gay club, and threatened to burn it down as well. Even then, the sentence seems too long. I guess they also factored in that he is a repeat offender with a lengthy history of similar behaviour.

Were you equally as offended when M-103 was introduced in Canada? - A motion calling on the government to condemn Islamaphobia (a made up word) as well as to conduct studies on racism and collect data on hate crimes with the intention of putting it into law?

I don't agree with labelling legitimate criticism as anti-semitism any more than I do Islamaphobia, or any other concepts as hate or that it should result in punishment on its own.

No matter what he threatened to do, at the end of the day he took a flag and burnt it... the sentence is far more then criminals that break into someones home, rape a child and even commit murder.

I think its a gay strip club.
They're forcing homosexuality on people, the place they're sending this guy to for burning a flag is institutionalized for gay rape. And before anyone says you cant stop prison rape, yes you can, Iran being a prime example.
