Happy Canada Day!
What is everyone doing this year? So many events are cancelled or being done in different ways due to Covid.
I took my son to the parade this morning in Aldergrove. It was much smaller than in previous years and the route was changed. Instead of going down the Fraser Hwy, it wound through neighbourhood streets in order to keep people from gathering in one place I guess.
I'm not keen on virtual fireworks or whatever is planned. I hope someone local fires some off in his yard, weather permitting of course.

In my memory, I don't remember the weather ever being bad for Canada Day. It takes the sting off not being able to join the festivities.

We just did the PNE experience they had a nice Canada day setup in the coliseum you drove through and then got a couple corn dogs and a poutine, took about an hour from lining up to leaving with food
Nice to support the PNE and get some Canada day flavour. Happy Canada day everybody

1hr from line up to finish? Not bad at all. I would have imagined the line up to get in, backing up to the entrance of Barnet hwy. Lol

Not much, helped my wife get some of her camping stuff ready her and the boy leave tomorrow until Monday. Played some Modern Warfare with my son, tinkered around in the green house now eating some greek take out.
I normally like to go to the Cloverdale Canada Day thing but that was obviously cancelled.

Really how? They sold out in seconds. Luckily I have the 25th-anniversary versions. Bought them from Planet Superstar the day after they were released.

adidas sent out an e-mail on the 25th with a raffle to enter. It was for the whole collection. I just entered for the shoes.
Didn't win the Diors, tho...and still got my fingers crossed for university red Dunks tomorrow.

love the quiet canada dgay....................................
Went for a 2-hour drive, nothing going on between Ladysmith and Duncan. Saw zero fireworks, zero parties, nothing going on in any city centres or parks.
Also saw zero road blocks and zero cops, which is super weird for Canada Day.
