Surprised nobody posted. Not sure just saber rattling. Like dealing with Covid-19 wasn't enough for 2020.

There was a documentary, a Republican/right-wing themed production called "The World Without Us" about the US stepping back from the role as "world police". It was made during the Bush era or something, and covered this very scenario.

China recognized that Trump spreads his cheeks for strong leaders because he is too stupid and too weak to stand up to them. Hes desperate to be loved, which is why he'll acquiesce to Chinese demands.

Found it. The relevant bits start here:

^ There was one recently by cnn. How the world sees America.

With Trump, power and leadership vacuum has been created. Old alliances don't have same economical and military teeth anymore. China and Russia have been left unchecked.
Biden presidency hopefully will bring this back

China won't, they're not stupid, it'd be too costly, even if the world took a backseat

Lol, China is never invading Taiwan.

China invading Taiwan is as likely as North Korea invading South Korea.

They might shoot a few missiles into the strait, but that's about it.
