Hey guys, so I have a 15 year old Maltese Shihtzu and she needs grooming, however she’s petrified of going to any groomer doesn’t matter which one I take her to. The last time she went she spent the next week in the closet scared / staring at the wall she was so traumatized...

Basically I can’t bear to do that to her, does anyone know someoe who maybe specializes in senior dogs or, best case scenario, does at-home grooming services... maybe she won’t freak out if it’s done in our own home.

Sorry to hear that. My Joey, a 3 year old Westie, is also scared of the groomers.
He will cry and want to run away when we get to the front door but afterwards is happy to leave.

Hope you find someone that does house calls. I saw a mobile groomer who worked out of a Sprinter van I think.
