In the meanwhile waiting for the 2022 season of Formula 1 to start, WRC recently popped up in my algorithm of things to watch.

It has been a LONG time since I followed WRC, think I stopped watching it after Subaru made its exit.

So for the 2022 season, there are a lot of notable regulation changes for the WRC cars

-new hybrid system
-no more paddle shifters, have to use sequential shifter
-less suspension travel
-no more active center diff

And Sebastian Loeb making his return at the age of 47 and currently dominating the field

I'm excited to see what Breen can do now that he has a proper contract for 2 years. The competition between the drivers has really been heating up the last couple years, Loeb and then Ogier had pretty solid grips on the drivers championship for a long time but now it's a good fight between Ogier, Neuville, Tanak and Evans. I think it was Monza 2020 where anyone could've taken it at the final race of the season.

Whelp, bad luck for Ogier.

Was leading the pack, suffered a puncture. And on top of that was given a 10 second penalty for jumping the start line.
