Back when teachers hand wrote the report cards, I was never a book smart kid, always got like C & C-. I would turn them all to C+ as I didn't want my parents to scold me. Great memories LOL.

True. Like Jordan Peterson prof at U of T said as society becomes more egalitarian whether that through forced policy or laws the opposite happens and the bigger the gap. And he said its a proven fact because that's what they did or doing in Scandinavian countries.

since were on the subject of schools. My coworker told me his sons school was in lockdown for the 3rd time this year cause a student was walking around with a gun in his hands. I asked my bosses son who graduated from HS a couple years ago and he said "its rare for it to happen, maybe twice a year" I was shocked that this is happening here in BC or have i been living under a rock.......

Agree with this, it's not the only path but if you keep your kids in organized sports it's a good leg up to having a well ajusted, confident kid who interacts well with others. It also helps keep them occupied and out of trouble.
