Your thoughts on this hybrid hypercar from Mercedes?

Specs:

1.6 L turbo V6. -same engine as the one inside Lewis Hamilton’s F1 car.

1063 hp.

redline: 11 000 rpm

Three electric motors and an electric turbo.

8 speed F1 transmission, single clutch

Curb weight: 3737 lbs

0 to 100 in 2.9 seconds.

Top speed: 352 km

Price: 2.275 million US

Sold out.

I am curious about how this car drives on a track compared to the V12 powered T.50 from Gordon Murray.

Looks amazing, but still slower than a chiron?

The front of that looks a bit bland. I like the little things they've added that take cues from the F1 car though.

3 very different vehicles

AMG ONE is chasing laptimes, I assume the battery is kinda there for a hero lap type thing... wont be always maximum output 100% of the time

T.50 is chasing engagement/drivng involvement

Chiron is a GT rocketship for the road

if I ever win that 70 mill lotto... it will be the T.50 in manual for me everytime lolol

About time!

From what I understand the engine is a variant of the 2016 spec F1 engine, quite a bit different from current spec engines.

One of the big hurdles was getting the thing to have a stable idle of 1200rpm, since the F1 motors idle at 5000.

Too bad they ruined the stance on the production version.

The concept looked great, way more aggressive.

I'm so done with all these cars that are modeled after fricken catfish. Forget coed or maximizing efficiency. Give me design. Give me something that I can put up as a poster on my bedroom wall.
