Got a ticket for failure to produce drivers license.

Very annoyingly, lost my wallet in the morning (but I did find it later in the evening). During the time it was lost, I was pulled over and ticketed for failure to produce drivers license.

I did however provide images of my drivers license, recent photos of the active drivers license (Non-expired). Officer says it is not good enough but is he wrong? It provided all the information and photo verification that he cross referenced to the database.

Was thinking of disputing on these grounds.

If I go to the airport and provide photos of my passport, I’ll be turned around. Or if I go to the bar and provide photos of my ID, the bouncer won’t let me in.

You can call the detachment and ask to speak with the officer/supervisor and see if you can come by and show them you have it? But technically you were in the wrong.

Maybe the motorcycle guys can correct me, but I remember people making 25% scale photocopies of their insurance papers (to fit in pockets) and if they get pulled over, technically it’s not the original ‘proof of insurance’ and they have 24h to provide the real one. Might be talking out of my ass though.

donk.

Don't think your gonna win that one
No physical ID = ticket

Cop must been in a mad mood, or you gave him attitude.
I've been pulled over dozens of times for stupidity, and gotten away with whatever I was doing 75% of the time, simply by being very nice to the cop, regardless of what his attitude was
